The hotel was spotless and clean, offering a pleasant castle view from the room. The overpowering smell of disinfectant and air freshener was a downside. The hotel was on the first floor, offering a good size room for two people that was lovely and smelled amazing. However, the view included seeing rubbish by the water wheel. The service was exceptional, with staff being apologetic even for small errors and going above and beyond to accommodate us. The location was great, very close to Westgate Shopping Centre and the city center, making it an ideal choice for a city break or visiting the Universities. The dining experience was average, with hot and tasty meals but not the best value for money. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor drawbacks.
I had a wonderful stay at The Courtyard by Marriott. The rooms were immaculate and lovely, offering a nice view; however, the small size and lack of cleanliness were disappointing for the price.
